Chapter One,xo-"I Hate Moving"
"Welcome to Atlanta, Georgia. Hope you've enjoyed your flight with American Airlines..."
The overcome droned with the operative voice of the pilot. I unstrapped Liana, picking her up slowly so she wouldn't wake up, and placed her over my shoulder. The men that were with us when we were going to the airport only dropped us off there. Like a sixteen year old could handle a four year old by herself...Hell, I can give it a try. I grabbed our carry-ons and headed off the plane. Through the terminal, I tried to find the people they told us to look for. But trying to carry someone who weighs over ninety pounds, plus two bags...It's hard. I gave up and decided to go get the rest of our bags. I grabbed one of the little baskets that had a seat for children and placed Liana in it. She stirred up she woke up, annoyed by the bright lights and loud noises. "Honey, loud." she cried. "I know Gummy, I know." She loved gummybears. I placed our bags in the basket and rummeged through her backpack for a snack for her. "Eat these." I pulled out a bag of gummybears and she was occupied for the rest of the day.
I looked around for a restroom cause I know she was wet. Still diaper training. I looked around, having given up at this point, all together. "Kingston...That's us." I mumbled to myself, walking/rolling the basket over to the man. He was queit large, in size and height. He wore glasses and black clothes. What is it with everyone wearing black? I understood why I wore it, I'm in mourning. "Are you Danielle and Liana Kingston?" He asked, ruggedly. I nodded, shifting my weight on the heels of my feet. "Your uncle is waiting for you at home. He has asked me to bring you two to by the restaurant so you can get know each other better." I nodded. I wasn't sure at first, but something in me told me to trust him, so I did. And I don't trust easily. We walked outside and there was a limo. "Honey! Limbo!!" Liana pointed. I smiled at the innocent way she messed up her words. "Yeah Gummy, it is." He packed the bags in the trunk and I took Liana out. I grabbed her bag and hopped in the back seat. "Ok, let me change your clothes."
"I fell asleep, Honey. I meant to go pee first." She use to get in trouble if she didn't go to the bathroom before a nap. Another way most people learn to use the bathroom..She won't get in trouble again, though. "It's fine, just don't do it again." She nodded fiercely. After I changed her clothes, the car stopped. I looked through the window, noticing we were at a Ruth's Chris Steak House. Back home in Dallas, they had one. We went to it once, for mom's birthday. And that was the last time we went because we couldn't offered to go again. The man got out of the car then went around and opened the door for us. I grabbed her bag and my purse. Held Liana's hand and he led us in. "Li, you're walking to slow." She stopped short and I picked her up, placing her on my hip. He stopped walking, talking to the hostess. I looked around, noticing a few famous people at first. I saw Keri Hilson, Liana nearly freaked. "Honey, Honey it's Keri!" She pointed. I placed her hand down gently, "It's not polite to point, sweetie."
"Follow me." He walked through and around tables, I followed. I held Liana closely, looking around the restaurant. I had no idea who this uncle of mine even was. We never seen pictures of him. And even if we did, we wouldn't remember. She's too young, and I would've been her age, if not younger, at that time. I don't even remember my mother mentioning him. I'm starting to forget a lot of things about her..."They're here, sir." I looked up from my feet, shocked. I had been in my own thoughts for so long, I hadn't even realized my mouth was hung open. "Um, sorry. I'm just...You're Usher." Wow, if I didn't sound stupid. "He knows that, Honey!" Liana shouted. I shushed her. He stood up, decked out in black as well. "I wish we could've met differently." I bit my lip, hoisting Liana back up on my hip. "Wow...I haven't seen you since you were little." He smiled at me. Liana burried her face into my neck, I laid my head against hers. I looked behind Usher, seeing who I think aremy cousins. "Who are they?" "Your cousins, Naviyd and Usher." I nodded. I tried, so hard I tried, to remain calm.
I had so many questions and so much...rage? I felt a little irrated. Dinner was awkward. But somehow, we managed to steer around it. "So, how did you find out about mama and daddy?" I picked at my plate, looking over at Liana, who was coloring with Usher and Naviyd. "A phone call. I was out of town, actually. In New York and I tried getting a flight out, but I couldn't. I want you to know, that I loved my sister and my brother-in-law very much. I would never miss their funeral on purpose." I nodded, looking back at my hands. "I think she knows...She would've loved to see all of you.."I half whispered. This was hard. Here I am, realizing and/or just remembering my uncle...Who's freaking Usher Raymound...This is kind of too much for me. I dropped my fork down on the table, grabbing the attention of the children. "I'm sorry it's just...Excuse me if I come off rude in some way, I'm truely sorry but...I don't remember you...I mean I should, I just don't. And all of this is just..it's just.." I started breathing funny, feeling my head swirl with dizziness. "Breath in deep, count back to ten, remember?" I nodded, confused. How did he know mom taught me that?
"When you were five, you had a small asthma attack. We taught you to count to ten.." Usher smiled, remincing to old times. It somewhat came back to me. "All of this is a bit overwhelming, I know. It'll get better soon, I promise." I stayed silent, not knowing what to say. After we finished with dinner, we headed back to his place. It was big, no scratch that, huge. The it had steps leading up to more steps that led up to a brick house. I walked in with Liana on my hip, there were grandstairs leading up to the rooms. "Oh wow.." Liana whispered. I put her down and looked around. There was a backyard with a pool and hot tub and what looked to be a gym, turned into a music studio. The rooms all had balconies. A guest house, a spa! A spa, really! A home theater and the kitchen...The things I can cook. "So, what do you think?" I turned around, hiding my amazed expression. I don't want him to think that I need to be spoiled. "It's a lovely house." Liana tugged on my sleeve. "Honey, I'm tired." I rubbed the top of her head. "Um, which room do we go to?" "You both have your own rooms, I'll show them to you." I picked Liana up and followed him.

After getting Liana to the bathroom and putting her down for a nap, I closed her door and went to my new room. He said it was the second biggest, and he wasn't lying. I went out on the terrace, looking out to the backyard. I saw a garden, it looked amazing too. I turned back around and started unpacking my clothes and putting them up. I made a mental note to do Liana's bags later. I walked out my room, and downstairs, to look around. I passed the music room, not really paying attention at first who was in there. "Danielle?" I turned back arund, peeking into the room, "Yes?" Usher turned around, along with a boy. A boy named Justin Bieber. "I'd like you to meet Justin. He'll be working over here a lot with me." I leaned against the door frame, folding my arms. "Nice meeting you." "You too." he smiled. "So." I said, propping myself upward, "Is there anymore musical relatives I should know about?" I joked. But apparently, he didn't know it was one. "Well, L.A. is your godfather." I blanked, confused. "L.A. who?" "Reid." Justin piped. I dropped my mouth and turned to walk out. "Unbelieveable!" I got hear them laugh softly in the background...
